Student samples from previous years: The essays come from the CPI, honors, and AP levels. All of the essays were outstanding within their given class.

Choose any one of the sample word search papers above, read the paper, and write a 250-300 word reaction that addresses the following questions:
1. What is your overall reaction to the paper? Why?
2. What surprised you when reading the paper?
3. What is the focus of the paper, as stated in the introduction? (for example, do not say the focus is "patience"--what about "patience" is the writer exploring?)
4. Which of the writer’s points/sources stand out most in your memory of reading the paper? Why do you think this is?
5. Based on reading the sample, what do you think will be most challenging for you when writing your paper? What will be the least challenging?
